Myth 1: “It Is Very Addictive”

This is a common misconception that people need to let go of CBD is non-habit forming hence it can’t be addictive. You can use CBD oil for as long as you can without developing a dependency. This means that you can’t discontinue its use at any time without experiencing withdrawal symptoms.

Myth 2: “All CBD are the same”

The painkiller has a sedative effect on the body. However, it should be noted that CBD can help to restore and improve your sleep patterns by reducing anxiety.

Myth 4: “It is Illegal”

It said that CBD products such as CBD gummies, topical creams, vape oil, and others are all illegal. It should be noted that there are several ongoing debates about the legality of this compound.  According to the FDA, CBD is legal for use as long it contains less than 0.3 percent THC. This means that you can purchase it any of the 50 states without a prescription.

However, it’s crucial to note that every state has its own laws regarding the use of CBD. Around 33 states have approved the use of CBD for medicinal purposes. Additionally, there are around 10 states that have approved the use of marijuana for medicinal use and recreational purposes.

According to a recent research poll, more and more states in America are legalizing CBD. This compound is being accepted because it contains a few traces of THC or nothing at all.

Note: according to the FDA it’s still illegal to sell hemp-derived CBD as a dietary supplement.

Myth 5: “CBD is Not Psychoactive”

Nearly every review of CBD oil indicates that it’s not psychoactive. Well, this is a myth that’s completely not true. Although this compound isn’t an intoxicant, it’s false to also describe it as a non-psychoactive. When patients suffering from anxiety take CBD edibles or use sublingual tinctures, it ends up altering their mood. So, if it’s not psychoactive, how does it then alter mood?

Well, the best thing to say is that CBD isn’t psychoactive like THC. This is because it still has a massive impact on the user’s psyche in a positive way. Even though, using it won’t produce the “high” feeling or get you stoned.

Myth 6: “CBD Hasn’t Been Scientifically Proven”

This is another myth being peddled around. According to some people, organic CBD rich hemp oil is a compound that hasn’t been proven scientifically. To them, CBD can’t help to treat various health conditions. Most of them assert that although there is some evidence that CBD might be effective in treating certain few conditions, there’s little evidence to support this.

But this assertion isn’t anywhere close to the truth. In 2018, the FDA approved the use of Epidiolex. This is a prescription drug designed for use by patients suffering from Dravet syndrome. Epidiolex is the first cannabis-based drug to get FDA’s approval. For the FDA to approve this, there must have been multiple scientific evidence. So, CBD oil has been proven scientifically.
